Getting
the right homemade facial masks is important cause in our world, the
face is
a critical part of communication when we are happy, sad, surprised, or
upset, it can be seen on our faces. Since it’s the first thing many
people notice about us, keeping the face looking its best is the
smartest thing you can do for yourself.
Clean, healthy skin will
boost your confidence and raise your self-esteem. Because it is
constantly exposed to the environment, the face also shows signs of
aging before many other body parts. Proper care has been proven to aid
in keeping skin looking and feeling younger.
A homemade facial masks
softens the skin, unclogs pores, and removes impurities. It also helps
to replace lost moisture and soothe the skin. Masks are an important
element in this process. Homemade facial masks and facial scrubs are some of the oldest
known
beauty treatments. The ancient Egyptians used mud and clay to remove
dead skin cells and heal blemishes.
During the early 1600s
many European women experimented with a milk and egg facial treatment. Many other
ingredients have been used since, such as fresh foods, flowers, and
herbs, to cleanse and nourish the skin. I like the treatments because
they are fun and easy, and they give me a boost when I am feeling tired. For tips on how to do a facial (

You
can use homemade facial masks every day, once a week, or whenever you
feel your
skin can use a special treat. (My mother lives in facial masks, I can’t
remember a time coming home from school and not seeing her with one
on).Having a facial treatment is also very relaxing because it requires
that you remain quiet and calm for 10 to 20 minutes.
It’s
amazing how seldom we allow ourselves to do that! The psychological
benefits of a facial treatment definitely equal-if not exceed- their
physical benefits. Another benefit is the almost limitless number of
facial products you can create at home using fresh ingredients.
The
following recipes make enough for a single application. Many of the
recipes contain fresh foods such as eggs, so any leftover products
should be kept in the refrigerator, but always check your product
before using it. Clay products tend to last longer than most and if
they dry out, they can be revived by adding more pure water.
Beauty Mayo
Mayonnaise
is an important ingredient in many natural beauty treatments. Regular
commercial mayonnaise works well, but if you want to master the art of
making mayonnaise and create your own, here is the perfect recipe.

I call it “beauty mayo” because it contains everything you
need for
beautiful skin and hair: eggs, oil and vinegar. You can use it alone as
a face mask or as a recipe ingredient whenever mayonnaise is called
for. It also makes a decent sandwich spread
What you need:
- 1 ¼ cups vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
How to make:
A blender or food processor really helps in this recipe. In a blender,
mix ¼ cup oil, salt and egg. With the blender on, slowly pour another ¼
cup oil, in a very thin stream, into the whirling mixture. Keep the
blender mixing. Slowly pour into the whirling mixture half of the
vinegar in a slow, steady stream. Keep the blender mixing. Slowly pour
into the mixture another ¼ cup of oil followed by the rest of the
vinegar. Continue blending.
Slowly add the rest of the oil. You
should now have a thick, white, creamy mayonnaise. Remember, making
mayonnaise is an art so you may need to practice, but once you master
it you will never forget it.
Pour your mayonnaise into a clean
container and store in a refrigerator. You can use this mixture in any
recipe that calls for mayonnaise. Makes 16 ounces

Apricot Facial Mask

complexion has become colorless and dull, this homemade facial mask can
be used to revitalize it. Apricots are rich in vitamin A, which is
important for healthy skin, combined with milk and honey, they return
moisture to the skin, helping it to look and feel smoother and softer.
